Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out.
– Robert Collier
What you do today, affects your tomorrow.
Have you ever accidentally fallen asleep without brushing your teeth? You wake up the next morning and you brush them immediately, to find out that your teeth aren’t as bright and shiny as they were yesterday. How strange is it… that one little forgotten habit changed something about your appearance overnight?
Truth be told, it’s not strange at all. If you take all of the tiny, two-minute habits you carry out every day and add them up over time, you will see that you’ve spent a lot of your life doing these (good or bad) habits.
It’s very important to look at the little things you do throughout your day, and ask yourself: “are these beneficial to me?” Would the successful ‘you’ in five or ten years be carrying out these habits? If you reflect and find that these habits are good, is there a way you could improve the way you carry them out?
Rather than trying to complete a dauntingly large task once in a while to get closer to your goals, try to ensure that your habits are nudging you closer every day.
After all, life is all about the little things.
