“Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.” — Carol Burnett
Seeking advice from others is a normal thing to do when we are unsure of the next step to take in our lives. However, we must not rely on others’ advice to the point that we expect it to enact change within our habits.
To successfully change, we must rely solely on ourselves and our advice. Although, we can be open to the ideas of others. We have to tell ourselves what we want to change and then create a plan to put these changes into motion. Outside events (peer pressure, inclimate weather, temptations, etc.) will happen, so we have to plan for these too.
You are the voice inside your head. You can wield a voice that motivates you, or a voice that offers excuses. The choice is yours, and yours alone.
